Simon Field: Amber with green tints, softer at the rim. Fulsome and rich palate with molasses and walnuts and a creamy backdrop. Excellent integration of the wood, with a sweet and nicely balanced structure and a harmonious and clean finish. Seamless, silky texture; very pure and pleasing. 17

Richard Mayson: Mid-pale red-tinged amber-tawny; olive-green hue on the rim. Quite subdued on the nose, slightly singed, not as lifted as some, but with underlying richness. Smooth, rich, and well balanced; quite fat with lovely texture, the sweetness offset by freshness and lingering well on the finish. Has poise and finesse. 17.5

Margaret Rand: Perfectly agreeable citrus-peel, coffee, and sultana wine. But does it pass the “so what?” test? The finish is acceptable. 14
