Jesús Barquín:Red fading to amber hues. Clean but muted nose, with spicy notes. The palate is dominated by sweetness, helping bring out nutty and spicy flavors. In the slightly alcoholic finish, there are notes of red-berry preserve. 87

Andrew Jefford:Another wine of dark hue but lots of limpidity and clarity. Moist demerara scents, rich and Christmassy, with the complexities of rancio behind. Very enticing. Mouth-filling, soft, and full, though a little less complex here than the nose suggested it might be; but delicious 10 Year Old overall, with a real fleshiness still clinging to it, and with a perfect combination of complexity-fromfruit and complexity-from-age. 90

Richard Mayson:Lovely color, brick-red core grading to an amber-tawny rim; open and singing from the glass, fine savory character, toasted almonds and dried-apricot fruit; gloriously suave and silky in the mouth, just the right balance of freshness and secondary, savory complexity, beautiful poise, with perfect piquancy on the finish. Has it all—an outstanding 10 Year Old. 97
