Jesús Barquín:Orange-amber. Spiciness and restraint on the nose. Quite “Burgundian” on the palate (as well as visually and on the nose), fine, elegant, genuinely balanced, deep. A smooth and lovable finish. 95
Andrew Jefford:Very light, pale, and translucent, a Burgundian among the 20 Year Olds. Creamy grains, dry grasses, the summer wind, a whirl of secondary refinement, without any primary fruited throb showing. On the palate, too, that’s what you get: very soprano, very light, very elegant, the fruit completely drained by the attentions of time and casks, yet there are aromatic advantages to that, and it is a 20 Year Old of unrivaled silkiness and grace. Fascinatingly characterful in its class. 89
Richard Mayson:Pale orange-tinged amber tawny; lifted, hightoned, with more secondary, savory character than fruit on the nose, nutty and distinctive; mature and refined on the palate, with spirit showing through, and candied citrus-peel length. 90
