Jesús Barquín:Deep red, with ruby rim. Faint nose with vegetal notes, strawberries and red berries, a hint of quince jelly. This is the sixth wine in the tasting and so far the one that most clearly looks and smells like a dry red wine. On the palate there is good integration, alcohol merely making itself felt. The finish is slightly bitter but tasty. 89

Andrew Jefford:Deep, clear plum-red in color. Lovely scents: a basket of ripe, glowing plums which has been sitting in the sun all afternoon. Gentle spirit warmth behind. Very full, warm, generous, plump, and plummy—a 10 Year Old with winning embonpoint. Some might perhaps object that the fleshiness and contour detracts from its “Tawnyness,” but I love the warmth and succulence and generosity here. 91

Richard Mayson:Looking very deep and youthful in color for a 10 Year Old, still pinkish on the rim; restrained on the nose, not giving away much complexity, full and firm in the mouth. This is a good, wellmade wine but is more in the style of a reserve than a 10 Year Old. Firm tannic grip on the finish—I want more complexity from a wine of this caliber. 85
