BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Medium-deep red but with considerable browning. The nose is lean, quite woody, and mushroomy. The palate disappoints: tart, astringent, dried out, with hard acidity and little flesh or persistence. Produced under the new regime, this is long past its best, with only vestiges of fruit. It’s drinkable, but only just, and is fairly short. 12
