Tim Atkin: Mid-garnet/ruby. appealing, savory, complex nose; still young, with sweet oak. Palate fresh and red-fruited. more rosso than brunello in terms of concentration and weight, perhaps, but attractive, modern, and well made, with spicy, savory freshness and good length and acidity. 3+ years. 16.5

Nicolas Belfrage: Correct color, some depth, some turn. ripe fruit of plum/ cherry style, plus sandalwood on nose; fairly subtly. mouthful of fruit, with firmall the parts are there, but so far not coming together in a harmonious whole. Has the richness, power, and up-frontness of the vintage but lacks a bit of grace. drink 2014–22+. 16

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to orange rim. Restrained and refined black-and-red- fruit nose, with hints of spices and orange peel; very elegant, medium to full body, with a great mid-palate, sweet red fruit, lively acidity and minerality, and a long, firm, clean finish. A very refined red wine. 17
