Tim Atkin: dense, concentrated color, remarkably deep for Sangiovese. concentrated, modern, international style. rich, ripe, lots of flavor, but the wine gets more Tuscan and Brunello-like on the palate. Lots of sweet modern oak but a well-made wine, with medium, youthful tannins, good integration, and plenty of guts. A wine that will appeal to the US market but less to traditionalists. All the same, a well-made, concentrated, serious wine. 16.5

Nicolas Belfrage: Very deep, remarkably youthful color for a five-year- old Sangiovese. Flattish, berry-like nose. Big, rich wine, with a line of austerity and a lack of breadth in the mouth. Acid level seems deficient at first, then attacks on the finish. Impressive wine, but not very typical. drink 2014+. 14

Bruno Besa: Deep black core to garnet rim. Concentrated, a touch closed, black-fruit nose; broad, not very typical Sangiovese structure, with sweet, jammy fruit. 15
