Nicolas Belfrage: Distinctly less orange and more ruby than others in flight. Not showing much development on the rim. Some ammonia on the nose—not necessarily negative. Sappy and fruity, a bit easygoing on mid-palate, though toughens up on finish. Ripe cherry/ berry fruit; reasonable length. A touch bitter yet lacks bite on finish. Drink from 2012 - 13

Stephen Brook: Opaque red. Sprightly plummy nose. Supple, juicy, forward, and up-front, but has reasonable concentration and grip as well, with moderate acidity on the mid-palate. Just lacks a little personality and vigor. Where’s the bite and crackle? It has decent fruit but fades on the finish - 14.5

Jancis Robinson: Still some black and blue in the crimson. Autumn mulch on the nose. Sweet, intense fruit. A bit bumptious rather than subtle. Drying on the finish. A little awkward and jagged at the moment. Acidity dominates on the finish. Burly. Quite long - 16
