Alex Hunt: An interesting nose: Cherry and redapple notes suggest lightness at first, but in fact there are some brooding depths here. Very fresh acidity is just about matched by fruit on the palate. The tannin is fairly gentle, which lets the acidity lead the structural charge without the wine overbalancing. Leafiness on the finish cements the Cabernet Franc typicity- 14.5
Andrew Jefford: Saturated black-purple. Fresh, inky, bright, pungent, but a little raw, too, with a slightly cardboardy cast to the aromatic profile. Intense fruit, very lean and driving, and acidfueled, with an earthy width at the finish. Not an easy wine for the uninitiated, but it’s impressively intense and concentrated, and if you know you already like these balances and this flavor repertoire, then this has the dramatic intensity you might be looking for. In the global context, by contrast, this is a wine of true but very nervy ripeness- 14
Simon Larkin: Good deep hue in the glass, holds color to rim. The nose offers sweet, ripe-berry aromas. The palate shows bright acidity, and leafy, straightforward berry-fruit characters—quite leafy in style, with little amplitude. There is a hard leanness revealed to the finish. Sappy, aggressive acidity here- 10
