BB | Garnet to pink. Elegant, mature black fruit, complex, floral, road tar, black truffles, smoke, earthy, orange peel and dried herbs nose. Full body, super refined, mineral, mature, black fruits palate with earthy, super long, uplifted finish. Wow, a superb Sangiovese for long term agingDrink Dates: 2030 - 2045. 97
AJ | Dark, translucent black-red Articulate and expansive aromas of earthy red fruits more than the field and forest notes of some of its peers; as so often in 2019, there is a wonderful compelling glow to these fruits which draws you into the glass. ... And that's exactly what you find on the palate: a joyous fruit-fest of a wine. All the supporting elements are there and if you drink this, it is almost as if you have a direct intravenous drip plugged in to the vintage itself. Joyous is the word.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2032. 91
MP | Pronounced nose with vanilla, cedar, black pepper, mulberry, cinnamon and black cherry all clamouring for attention. The palate shows the power of this vintage with very ripe fruit, melded tannins and bright acidity. The layers of fruit and gentle structure provided by the tannins and acidity drive a powerful finish that suggests this can develop further. The balance in thsi wine is superb.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2031. 96
