Nicolas Belfrage: A touch quiet on the nose, but no problem there. Aromas of black cherry come through. Quite compact, a certain forcefulness about it, muscular finish and good length. Drink from 2019. 89

Bruno Besa: Ruby to garnet rim. Intense, refined, complex, compact red fruit nose. Youthful, perfectly clean with rosewater, wild strawberries, talcum powder and hints of rosemary. Beautifully balanced, explosive palate, compact, refined, super-complex, super-long. What a star, now and for many years to come. 98

Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark red. Warm, sweet, and graceful aromas: rich red fruit upholstery but with bay leaf, leather, and undergrowth allusions for complexity, too. Ample, well-rounded wine with plenty of midpalate generosity: exactly what the nose sketched out, in other words. This will provide much midterm pleasure, though I don’t find the grain and finesse I’m looking for a top score. Not a quibble, though—there’s so much to enjoy here... 90
