SF | sweet black cherry, creamy oak , vanilla and spice notes, charming and accessible nose, the flavours combine ripe cherry with green under-ripe fruit so that the overall impression good rather than great. So far the Barolo 2020 are good rather than great.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2035. 90
AJ | A lighter wine than its flighted peers: deep silver gold. Fresh, vivacious, quite concentrated and precise: marzipan, almond brittle, a touch of lemon and ginger. Excellent aromatic profile. Zesty and fresh, very 'Barsac' in style: long finish infused with ginger and lemon verbena. Extravagantly sweet. It isn't taut or focussed so best in the medium term, but this will be a fine, multi-layered contender.Drink Dates: 2026 - 2034.
