BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Very dense color. Tart, pruney, concentrated, and dry. Tannic, too much oak, touch of volatility, dry finish. Nothing to do with Rioja as I know and love it. Slightly soupy, dry, some extraction. Hard to spot the origin here. 12

Jesús Barquín: Deep cherry. Ripe fruit, tannin, and oak; each playing their own tune, and the high alcohol does not help, either. Modern. 13

Marcel Orford-Williams: Gentle spice and fragrant wood. This is lovely. Lovely middle palate with finesse. Reserved, fine, and very long. Good new-style. 18
