BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Very tannic, chewy, dense, firm. Hard to recognize this as a Rioja, Lots of oak, dense, chewy, smoky oak. Dry finish. Extracted and rather dry. 10

Jesús Barquín: Deep cherry, almost opaque. Serious, tannic, concentrated and powerful, but with good acidity and without jarring excess. Tightly structured, somewhat closed now but with good bottle-life ahead. Modern. 17.5

Marcel Orford-Williams: That has a good nose. This is rich, full-flavored. Not ready. Thick, sweet, and finishes tannic. New-style. 15
