Deep, close-knit and appealing aromas of glowing, sweet, fleshy strawberry, and plum fruits: lots of straightforward sensual appeal here. Cleanly meaty and gamy, too. Big, rich and, expansive on the palate: Intense, multidimensioned fruit, firm tannins, and searching though ripe acidity, with a long, penetrating finish. No hurry with this wine, which still has an easy decade or more ahead of it. | 94
