Andrew Jefford | Luminous mid-gold. Richly sweet but very nearly confected: a sense, at least, of great ripeness here (and a little free sulfur). The sweetness rather swallows the individual fruit felicities; lots of spring bulb scents, too: blue hyacinth. On the palate, this is a bracingly dry wine, though that rich fruit architecture is there in searchingly dry style: a scouring cascade of orange and lemon, of apple and grape; colossal tartaric essences. Very impressive if rather daunting, with very insistent aromas. | 90

Anthony Rose | Pale greeny lemon, this has a floral and limey whiff that’s admirably piquant. It’s super-fresh and youthful, withatautness of limey flavor and texture that bodes well for the future, as young as it is, that initial tension of fruit on the tongue giving way to a vivaciously zesty dry finish. | 93
