Stephen Brook | There’s very ripe blackberry fruit on the nose, which is stylish and poised. Rich and forthright, this has succulence and weight on the palate, where there is also force and pungency. There’s admirable tension here, and a spicy complexity. Delicious and voluptuous now, this is finely balanced and should age well. Long. | 95

Andrew Jefford | Deep garnet with ruby glints. Lots of mushroom scents here, both dried and fresh; humic sweetness and a visceral, leaf-litter appeal; animal notes, too. The red fruits, by contrast, are comprehensively modulated into this mid-life melange: They are there but just a part of the picture and no longer in the foreground. Full-flavored and expansive, and the flavor profile mirrors the aromatic spectrum very closely. Vivid, deep, long, and satisfying, with subtle, well-drawn tannins and an almost savory acidity. This wine responds very well to air, smoothing and acquiring harmony; delicious drinking. | 89

Michael Palij | Black fruits including stewed plum, coffee, licorice, hay, blackcurrant, blueberry, and mineral all combine in this wine to drive the richly textured finish that showcases the fruit to good effect. The structure here is balanced by the fruit, and the two work together to create real impact. Superb effort. | 97
