Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny. Refined, complex, elegant, mineral nose, yet warm and mature, with prunes, dried geranium and rose notes, orange skin and dried herbs. Medium- to full-bodied, lively, clean, elegant, and complex, with mature cherries and prunes on the palate, and a long, inviting noble finish. | 95
Andrew Jefford | Mid-black-red; translucent. Very refined, glowing fruits, with a kind of secondary warmth and charm to them now, and a creaminess, too: beautifully aged wine. Lots of elegance and finesse, despite the wine’s amplitude. Very smooth and harmonious on the palate—again, exemplary aging, meaning that this is closer to full maturity than many of its peers. Sustained plum fruits, bright acidity, soft and creamy tannins: accessible yet with the nobility of the place to it. | 90
Anthony Rose | Ruby garnet, starting to show evolution in its color; a touch of sweet vanilla oak on the nose, as if a touch of barrique. Sweet Sangio fruit on entry, good weight and volume in the mouth, a mix of modern and traditional in style, with nice structure of tannins and acidity for aging, and just a touch of bitterness for freshness to finish. An international style, it seems to me now, but well executed. | 92
