Nicolas Belfrage: Typical color with correct brick rim. Prune and herb (rosemary) on nose. Good wine of type if a little dilute, fades quickly in mouth. Drink now to 2015. 14

Roy Richards Blunt, oxidative – second nose less so. This is a massive, slumbering wine. It is extracted, but more probably in the vineyard than in the cellar. I like these old-fashioned tannins and the sheer density of the whole. 18

Franco Ziliani: Great concentration color. The nose is fleshy with ripe cherry and plum and flowery notes with a hint of mint and chocolate. Good balance. Not a great structure but round and solid tannins and a good persistence and finish. Some oak, but it doesn’t overwhelm the fruit. 13
