Nicolas Belfrage: Medium-deep but bright. Fairly perfumed nose. Attractive, fairly easy fruit, again in Rosso direction, but with elegance. Drinking now, not a long-distance runner. 15
Stephen Brook: Glossy oaky nose, perfumed and seductive. Rich and ripe, a modern-style Brunello with an abundance of sweet fruit. The tannins are discreet but certainly present, and the acidity is well integrated. A good wine but very well behaved with not a hair out of place. Has precision but is almost too well groomed. Quite long. 16.5
Andrew Jefford: Light, clear garnet. An engaging if relatively evolved aromatic profile, with lots of creamy, cedary warmth and high-summer gratification. Soft, subtle, open, and (again) gratifying flavors of enchanting, mouthwatering ripeness. The acidity here is mastered and resolved by that warmth of ripe fruit. There is little tannin to discourage early drinking, yet the extracts support and qualify a long, subtly articulated finish. A well-crafted Brunello with enough subtlety buried inside it to merit scrutiny. 15.5
