Nicolas Belfrage: Ripe fruit and herb on the nose. Very attractive sotto bosco aromas and enlivening acidfruit balance, with ripe tannins. Good to drink now but will last very well. 91
Bruno Besa: Garnet to tawny. Intense, complex nose with leather and tobacco, roasted red meat, cloves and rosemary and hints of violets and dried roses. Balanced palate, with super-sweet fruit, fine tannins, and a long, juicy, red-fruit finish. A wonderfully drinkable Brunello, but only time will tell us its real capability for long-term aging. 93
Andrew Jefford: Light, clear black-red. Slightly farmy scents here; lacks aromatic refinement compared to the best of its peers. After a while in the glass, that slightly reductive note has cleared somewhat and we are left with soft-focus red fruits. Ample ripeness on the palate and firm structuring tannins: a good wine that just seems to lack a little aromatic and mid-palate charm at present, coming across as slightly gruff and abrupt. 85
