Bruno Besa | Ruby to pink. Complex, restrained, mineral, red-fruit nose, with some oak and hints of mint, geranium, and crushed stones. Lively, compact, inviting palate, with a clear red-fruit character and long, lively, pristine finish. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, though translucent. Bottle 1: Some cardboardy restraint; possible scalping. Bottle 2: Sweet, warm, milky fruits; a lovely teasing ripeness and inner wealth here. Sweetly fragrant and attractive, and very nuanced. Concentrated, singing fruits here of great depth and energy, backed with unobtrusive though close-grained tannins and lively acidity. Lovely warmth, purity, vivacity, and aromatic power sings from this wine. No false notes; as classical as you like. Fine vineyards, for sure, and perfect ripeness in this vintage, neither too much and too sweet nor too little and green- tinged. Not a forceful or insistent wine but a very good one. | 91
Anthony Rose | Good, saturated, youthful ruby hue; still a tad shy on the nose, but attractively ripe and nicely balanced red fruits on the palate, with integrated oak, probably from larger barrels to maintain the evident freshness, while the tannins, although just a tad dry, are basically well proportioned in a balanced, authentic, traditional style. | 91
