Neil Beckett | A highly successful blend of Charmes (3 pièces) and Mazoyères (one pièce). Medium-deep ruby. A very alluring nose, darkly fruited, intense, fresh but fully ripe, with light kirsch lift and no trace of the wood (even though 50% was new). Ample and mouthfilling, grandly gentle and seductively supple, but gracefully fresh and vital as well, with great elegance, finesse, and persistence on the spiraling finish—unusually complete, seeming to reflect its dual, mutually enhancing origins. | 94–95
