BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Ruby to pink. Intense, clean red fruit with a herbal character, along with some oak and fairly complex mineral character. Medium to full body, with refined tannins and a long, red-fruits finish. Needs a bit more time to show at its best. | 92

Andrew Jefford | Dark, clear black-red. Rather a warm, gruff, squeezed, slightly rough-and-ready aromatic profile with rather raw fruits. Lively, tangy fruits lead the palate; artless but sound. | 83

Michael Palij | The youthful color and very pronounced nose of apricot, vanilla, white pepper, and wild rose mark this out as a very modern iteration of the Nebbiolo riff. The palate is disappointing, with white flowers and the firm tannins and mordant acidity ruling the roost. The fruit seems to be too shy to provide a balanced wine. | 84
