The World of Fine Wine has today unveiled a major new addition to worldoffinewine.com—a fully searchable tasting notes database that for the first time gives readers online access to the entire archive of more than 20,000 tasting notes published by the award-winning magazine since its first issue in 2004.
More than 20 years in the making, the database, which will be continually updated as new tastings are published, is an ever-growing treasure trove of evocative, information-rich notes composed by the world’s best qualified and most articulate wine critics. Free to registered users, it has been carefully crafted by the WFW development team to allow users to search by a range of criteria, from region, country, or grape variety, to vintage, score, or critic.
“We are hugely excited to launch this important new addition to WFW, which we feel will be an indispensable tool for fine-wine lovers all over the world,” said WFW editor Neil Beckett.
“Our team of developers has taken great care to make the WFW tasting notes database as user-friendly as possible. The accessibility and searchability give readers the opportunity to make all sorts of comparisons, informing their buying decisions and enriching their understanding of the history and performance of an enormous range of fine wines across dozens of vintages.
