BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Elegant, mature nose with intense tobacco, leather, and prunes character and hints of truffles and dried herbs. Medium to full body, with refined, layered tannins, sweet prunes and bing cherries on the palate, and a long, refined finish. Mature and ready to drink but with good aging potential. | 92

Stephen Brook | The nose exhibits sweet and juicy cherry fruit, suggesting Merlot as much as Nebbiolo! On the palate, too, there is a distinct softness and lack of flair. There are robust tannins to support the ripe if un-nuanced fruit, but the acidity seems modest and the wine lacks drive. It has flabby tendencies, which is worrying, and it lacks persistence. | 86

Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep black-red. Soft-contoured, imprecise aromas of sweetly nutty, cherryish style; not unattractive. Soft, open, gentle, and accessible, but a wine lacking the excitement of the best of its peers. 2018–21. | 83
