Nicolas Belfrage | Deep color. Juicy fruit on the palate. Good structure, has typicity if little charm at the moment, due to a bitter twist at the back that cuts into one’s desire to drink it. A second bottle is an improvement, very concentrated and powerful. My mark is based on the second bottle, not the first. | 92
Bruno Besa | Ruby to garnet. Open, intense, earthy, mature yet elegant black and red cherries nose. Balanced palate, with sweet red and black fruits, refined yet muscular tannins, and good, clean finish. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep red-black in color. Some fruited interest here, and some warmth and lift, too: round plum-and-bay-leaf scents, and a game stock undertow for complexity. I had hoped it would grow in finesse with a little time in the glass, but in fact the opposite happens. It retains its qualities, but they begin to seem evident and obvious after a few minutes. On the palate, it is a relatively simple wine without much concentration, density, or drive, though it will make agreeable short-term quaffing. | 84
