Nicolas Belfrage: Deepish, with lanoline of quality Brunello coming through on nose. Quite complex palate in terms of flavor, and backed by very good acid-tannin structure. Not exaggerated in any direction but right on the button; drink from 2015. Nothing overstated; very fine. 18.5
Stephen Brook: Rich cherry nose, with a lick of vanilla. Good attack, with ripe concentrated fruit that falls short of jamminess. Ample acidity and discreet tannins give support to the fruit. It’s a bit foursquare and not greatly nuanced, but it’s well made and balanced. 16
Andrew Jefford: Deep though now clear black-red. Refined, evolved aromas of curranty fruit and cereal warmth. Tangy, light, sinking away to a tart finish, this is a just-adequate rendition of vintage and site 10.5
