Tim Atkin: Mid-garnet/ruby. Lovely, complex, sweet and savory nose. Essence of Sangiovese. Ripe, but grounded by acidity and tannin, subtle and well made. Redfruits, fine-grained tannins, subtle old oak, very complex. Long, stylish, leafy, sweet; some tea leaf; long and subtle. Alcohol just a little high? 17

Nicolas Belfrage: Fine mid-depth hue. clean, fresh, herby nose. Good acid-fruit balance, with tannins in place. A very respectable member of the class of 2007 without, again, scaling any great heights. But will be enjoyable from around 2014 for 8–10 years. 15

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to orange rim. Open, mature, a touch jammy on the nose, yet clean and fairly restrained.A touch astringent and one-dimensional, yet clean and fairly long. 16
