BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage | Medium depth, clear but a trifle dull of hue. Nose a little neutral. Juicy, quasi-syrupy palate, very pleasant drinking but lacking in finesse. | 88

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Slightly closed nose, yet clean and complex, with mature small red fruits, ripe peach and vanilla, and refined, spicy, tobacco-leaf and cedar-wood undertones. Medium body, with layered, mature, sweet red-fruit palate, super-fine tannins, and a very long, clean, complex finish. A class act with long aging potential. | 95

Andrew Jefford | Deep though clear black-red. Warm, sweet cherry in balsamic style: a slightly troubling allure. On the palate, too, the wine lacks poise and freshness, and the cherries taste slightly medicinal and canned. It’s drinkable, though, with some structural wealth, so by no means is it a wine without merit. | 82
