BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pale tawny. Closed and a touch simple on the nose, with good minerality and small red fruit. Medium body, a bit short and simple. | 86

Stephen Brook | Ripe, charming, raspberry nose. Rich and broad, this has flesh and weight, with ripe tannins to give backing without harshness. It’s opulent and even forward but has ample grip and concentration. Good length. Accessible now but surely with aging potential. | 92

Andrew Jefford | Light, bright, clear red. Not a great success aromatically, at least as first poured: some reductive bite. There are warm, resonant red fruits beneath, though. Tangy and lively on the palate, but without great depth, resonance, finesse, or nuance. The acidity is a little raw here. Sound but not quite fine. | 86
