Simon Larkin : The aromaticshere, though restrained, are suggestive of markedly vibrant fruit, a pleasing sense of ripeness signalled by a note of Port-like sweetness, A seductive textual palate, with impressive silkiness and high-toned fruit, both elegant and refined. A glossier feel, gentle vanillin nuances equally discernible, though rose-tinged vibrant cherry fruit is readily expressed. There is a beautiful sense of layered fruit that is neither bold nor overstated. A forward example that shows poise and will impress in the mid-term. 16.5
Nicolas Belfrage: As a pair, more evolved in colour [than the Oberto wines]. Less complex aromatically. Quite floral but not a lot else. Plenty of bright sweet fruit on the palate, with tannins pointing through. Good aromas but lacking a bit of complexity. At its best in two years, but will hold for another ten. 15
