Andrew Jefford: Pale, bright gold. Big, rich, warm - weather fruit compote of a wine, aromatically speaking; lots in there, and everything is tremblingly ripe. Most attractive. Lush, full, fruit-packed, but mineral-backed, too, with really long, subtle, compellingly beautiful flavours that seem to scour the mouth and puff little jets of fruit freshness into every corner. Spot on - bravo! Needs some time to calm down and settle, but huge fruit energy allied to a real sense of contour and shape (where some of the fruited energy in other wines is very incoherent and unfashioned). Just a bitter touch in the finish, but for me that adds complexity. 18
Simon Larkin : Similar in hue to the Schlossgut Diel Pitterm anchen. This reveals ripe fruit on the nose, not overly pronounced, however. The palate shows a good intensity of fruit, tangy citrus qualities and a balanced sense of acidity. Overall, a harmonious style with some absence of nervosite, which would have warranted an impressive score. The fruit shows well with impressive persistence. 15
Alexander Scott: Similar in character to the Schlossgut Diel Pittermanchen but with considerably more intensity on the mid-palate, building to a warm and palate-soaking flavour crescendo. Firm core, should run for a few years, though enjoyable soon. Very fine wine. 17
