Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth with some turn. Clean and typical, good concentration and type, wine needs time (from 2015) but should turn out well, has elegance and typicity. Balsam and cherry with dark chocolate lurking in the finish. 17

Roy Richards Prune and cream. This is very ripe, but has those lovely tannins barking up the fruit. Could be fresher, but definitely on the side of the angels. 16

Franco Ziliani: Very creamy, sweet, ripe fruit on the nose, expressive and complex: some spice, olive oil, leather, tobacco, and chocolate. Very round, sunny Mediterranean character. The palate is rich, with good structure and length, but tannins are not perfectly harmonized and tend to finish with some bitterness. 14.5
