BB | Garnet to tawny. Tobacco, leather, touch developed, rustic, earthy, black and red fruits nose. Full body with fine tannins, iron and earth palate with herbal, long finish.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 91
AJ | LIght and translucent but a wonderful ruddy inner glow. There seems to be a slightly superficial candy sweetness to this at first: will air help? Also the tarriness of the hotter sites. I'll give it 10 minutes and come back. Substantially unchanged 15 mins later. Exuberant and deep with the intrinsic balance and juicy fruit of the vintage, but the aromatic remarks hold on the palate too. This wouldn't be a wine for long ageing but in the short to medium term you could have a lot of fun with it.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2031. 87
MP | Ethereal and perfumed with notes of wild rose, violets, hawthorn, cranberry, red cherry, pomegranate, and strawberry jam. The palate combines this obvious fruit with a pronounced oaky note not noticed before that lends a spiny burnt coffee and dark chocolate character to the finish. This started off with very high hopes on the nose but it fell apart on the palate where the obvious oak and stringent tannins let it down.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 92
