Jesús Barquín:The nose is hit by a green note, as of vegetal tannin, that does not reappear in the palate except perhaps slightly at the end. Sweeter than most, slightly hot, with great persistence. The elements are all good but need to be assembled. 14
Richard Mayson:Deep, opaque; attractive, open, fragrant floral—spicy aromas; mid-weight, firm, fresh sappy fruit flavors counterbalanced by tannins. Good, middle-distance wine for drinking in 10–15 years. 14
Charles Metcalfe:Dark, rather woody. Dark, blackcurrant and black-cherry aromas. Palate is intense, with treacle and black-fruit flavors. Tannins are very dense but ripe, fruit is powerful. It’s one of the most closed in the tasting but seems to have all elements in place. Should evolve with considerable longevity and complexity. 17
