BUY THE WINE

Jesús Barquín:Unctuous and very ripe on the nose, with notes of berry jam against a backdrop of spicy Mediterranean undergrowth that becomes more evident on the palate. Good structure and volume. 15.5

Richard Mayson:Good, deep color; rather green underripe aromas; similarly rather spiky on the palate. Fresh berry-fruit flavors, but rather simple and one-dimensional, with underripe tannins. 12.5

Charles Metcalfe:Slightly grubby, with a hint of greenness. Meaty, slightly smoky nose. The palate is firm and herby, with notes of treacle and damson. Tannins are firm, indeed rough. There’s a smoky length, but not very fruity. 11
