Jesús Barquín:Ruby red, with brown-amber rim. Ripe fruit is what you first find on the nose, together with some tar. Then the palate is sweet and not particularly fine compared with its peers. 88

Andrew Jefford:Relatively deeply colored for this age category. Lots of toffeed sweetness here, apple and plum fruits, Havana leaf. Attractive, but a little simpler in aromatic terms than some of its peers. Sweet, round, warm, generous, and rich, but not quite as arresting in terms of its precision, focus, and detail as the best of its peers. 88

Richard Mayson:Lovely mid-deep autumnal color, with an amber rim; rich, milk-chocolate and vanilla depth on the nose, with a hint of torrefaction; full, rich in style, with similarly chocolaty fruit and a dusting of tannin, well balanced but without much elegance on the finish. 87
