Nicolas Belfrage: Medium deep, with definite turn on the rim. Not an easy wine to assess, being quiet of nose, very firm of acidity (which temporarily overcomes the fruit), well equipped with tannin. Needs time to come together but could develop into a fine bottle. Drink from 2018. 18
Bruno Besa: Garnet to pink, orange rim. A touch closed, cedarwood-like nose, with layered small red fruit; a touch volatile. Medium body, with clean fruit yet a rustic finish. 15.5
Andrew Jefford: Deep, translucent black-red. Rather underpowered aromas, with some grassiness. Smooth, and a slightly perplexing palate, which shows raisiny fruit but some herbaceousness, too (shaded canopy or vineyard issues). Finally, though, this still comes from a great place on earth and a great vintage, and those “genetic” qualities are still amply perceptible in the wine. I can’t say I wouldn’t enjoy drinking it, so it merits a good mark. 14
