Tim Atkin: Developed mid-garnet, with a hint of orange. Some VA on the nose, almost Rioja-like. advanced wine on the nose and palate, with the VA giving the wine a slight lift. Dryish finish, with high alcohol and a jammy sweetness. 11.5

Nicolas Belfrage: medium-deep color. Sandalwood and wild cherry on the nose. Smooth, creamy palate, with tannins uncannily ripe and in keeping with acid, which is balanced by the fruit. almost too smooth, but correct and ultimately very long, with just a hint of amarognolo. lovely balance. drink 2013 for 15 years. 18

Bruno Besa: deep garnet to tawny. developed, a touch oxidized on the nose, with mature, jammy red fruit, but a touch green on the palate. not very long. 14.5
