Nicolas Belfrage: Medium deep. Reasonably expressive nose of floral and herbal character. Sturdy wine with firm acid-tannin base and a good dollop of sweet, ripe Porty fruit. Reasonable length apart from residual metallic hit. Drink from 2015+- 16.5:

Bruno Besa: Very deep garnet to tawny rim. Open, mature black-fruit nose with prunes, toasted nuts, smoked meat, and cloves. Full bodied, balanced, and mature, yet too ripe, almost jammy fruit- 15.:

Jancis Robinson: Dark crimson. Intense, polished fruit and the structure of a Bordeaux. Mouthfilling, with some plummy fruit and dried prunes on the finish. A drawing-room Barolo—sophisticated rather than peasanty. Drink 2015–24- 15.:
