Simon Field: Deep, deep color, almost mahogany, definitive green constellation. Very rich on the nose and in the mouth, raisins, walnuts, and figs. Solid and ornate, with its future assured. 18

Richard Mayson: Mid-deep mahogany; rich, pungent but rather soupy on the nose; rich and powerful, wonderful concentration, but a slightly hard, coarse edge on the finish. Admirable rather than fine. 15

Margaret Rand: Good smoky nose; sweet smoky nuts on the palate, good and lively, pungent and rich. Good balance, very complete and satisfying. 17
