Stephen Brook | The nose is delightfully fragrant, with a floral character, as well as red fruits. There’s real poise and charm here. It’s mirrored on the palate, which is intense and pure, with fine acidity rather than extracted tannins giving the structure and persistence. It’s not a fruit-forward style, but there’s a winning elegance here, and the finish is long, with great clarity of fruit. | 94

Andrew Jefford | Clear scarlet-garnet red. Fresh, refined, clean, pure scents, with tapered curranty fruit plus a whisper of strawberry, framed in green copse and leaf (though no overtly herbaceous notes). Some creaminess, too. That sets the scene for the palate, which has a more prominent acid balance than almost any other wine in the tasting, and currant and strawberry remain the keys for the fruit here. The tannins are very discreet. Fresh, poised, incontrovertibly on the cool side (north side of the hill, or a cool site elsewhere?). Lovely concentration and grace withal, and that gentle creaminess of texture brings some balance. | 92

Michael Palij | Exquisitely judged nose, with redcurrant, strawberry, hawthorn, mineral, and smoky notes, compact and elegant in the mouth. This wine impresses on many fronts, but it is just a little short, with a simple, albeit perfectly balanced finish. Lovely, but there just needs to be a little more concentration. | 92
