Bruno Besa | Light ruby to garnet. Intense, refined, very complex nose, with red cherry, blood orange, cedarwood, geranium, and rosewater. Medium- to full-bodied, intense, complex, layered red fruits and crushed stones on the palate. Long and classic finish. Another great Sangiovese for the cellar. | 94
Andrew Jefford | Clear and translucent garnet-red. Sweet, warm, and fresh, with lovely, soft, supple creaminess and warmth. Tender fruits, cherry and plum and orange, just teased to perfect ripeness: very attractive fruity aromas. An almost mentholated freshness, too, but understated and attractive. Smooth, pure, lively, and long on the palate: a soprano in present company, but strikes the lyrical note with great assurance. There are supporting tannins to give it endurance and calibrated weight, too: a beautifully tender and shapely wine. | 91
Anthony Rose | Relatively pale in color, apparently evolving quite rapidly, with garnet to the rim of the glass; high-toned nose, with sweetish raspberryish fruit, clean, fresh, and juicy, if on the simpler side; nicely proportioned oak, a tad chewy in texture, keeping the fruit just a little shorter than it wants to be. | 90
