Stephen Brook | Opulent lime nose. Rich and juicy, this is very ripe on the palate but balanced by firm and almost assertive acidity. Indeed, a strong mineral tang comes to dominate the mid-palate and suppress the ripe citrus and apple-compote fruit. Still, the package is persuasive, with swagger and concentration and drive. Long finish, with ample extract if moderate finesse. | 91
Andrew Jefford | Silver-gold. Fresh, pure, and enticing: a very restrained nose, but very fine and finely worked. On the palate, this is another very light or soprano cru wine, spinning around the gravitational pole of its acidity, yet with plenty of stony poise, finesse, and even implicit sweetness clinging to the delicate fruit core. Excellent work here and a lovely cru effort, in style terms at the other end of the spectrum from La Grande Côte. | 91
Stephan Reinhardt | This is a fine and elegant, tensioned and spicy Sancerre, with remarkable elegance and finesse. It is beautifully balanced, tense and grippy, and finishes with a pure and salty, properly structured and slightly phenolic character. A picture-book Sancerre, with a lot of salts and music. | 93
