Alison Buchanan: Slightly fondant icing notes on this. The fruit is a sweet, orchard fruit/stone fruit combination, slightly devoid of focus and pith. Sweet, gentle and simple. 14.5

Alex Hunt: This has a more New World blackcurranty nose. Concentrated and fairly round, though still with some chalky grip, the texture is impressive. The currant fruit and vegetal aspects seem disjointed, however. 13

Andrew Jefford: Full lemon–yellow. Cheese–paste and straw. Enduring more successfully than most of its peers, this has an enjoyably limpid, rounded style and enough ripeness to carry it forward for a year or two, if you like the willowy intensity of aged Sauvignon. 12
