BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Dark ruby to garnet. Mature, slightly musty nose, black fruits, animal, earthy, herbal, with black cherries, sweet tobacco, and hints of road tar. Medium to full body, with layered black fruit. Fairly long yet not entirely clean. | 85

Andrew Jefford | Deeply hued, indeed black-red, though translucent. Soft-focus aromas, though there is some warmth, fullness, grace, and depth apparent. It does all the right things, if a little vaguely. With time in the glass, however, matters do not improve. On the palate, it is rather a sinewy, bitter-edged effort, alas. There is real depth here and the tannins are impressive, but the lack of fruited enchantment and aromatic refinement of any sort holds it back. | 82

Michael Palij | This is corked or otherwise su ering from some form of H2S. Hors de combat. | 70
