BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage | Deep color, going to garnet on the rim. Concentration of dried fruit and sour cherry on the nose. Rich, full-flavored wine of greater power than elegance. Good balance of fruit and structure, though—alcoholic and quite long. Drink from 2022. | 89

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Closed red-fruit nose, not showing a great deal at present. Medium body, slightly green finish. | 85

Andrew Jefford | Deep, clear black-red; deeper than many in this vintage. Bottle 1: Corked. Bottle 2: Rather raw, livid fruits. Chopped plum; some cinnamon, too. The palate, too, has this rather muddled and unclassical, unrefined style, though there is a depth of fruit here that eludes many of the wine’s peers in this vintage. | 81
