Stephen Brook: Fairly deep red. Smoky nose, quite leathery and spicy, with cherry compote. Medium-bodied, sleek, quite elegant and reasonably concentrated. Rather high acidity. Attractive but lacks weight and, indeed, fruit. Medium length. 13.5
Alison Buchanan: Very volatile nose. Black-shot garnet in colour. The palate, thankfully, is better than the nose but still rather devoid of focus. A floppy, jellyfish of a wine. 12.5
