BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: Deep, not opaque, still ruby. Berry fruit on nose, good fruit-acid balance in mouth but tannins aren’t quite connected. After initial doubts seems genuine enough but unexciting. Now for five years. 12.5

Roy Richards Unusual faecal nose – clears, but not wholly. I would be inclined to think that it’s farmyardy palate will lead to increasing presence of Brett. Unconvinced. 12

Franco Ziliani: Ruby violet, concentrated color. The nose is not very expressive and almost wild and earthy, with ripe plum and cherry notes, some licorice, leather and aromatic herbs, but the the palate is very fleshy and appealing, with good structure on the palate and fruit. However the wine lacks balance and freshness. 12.5
